I can't cook (and I'm sure I'm okay with that)

I can't cook....couple that with being impatient and a bit touched with ADD (self-diagnosed of course) means that each meal is burnt. Luckily the hubby loves cooking and has taught the kids well. Amir enters the house, "What's for dinner mom? And, please don't say -food." I might be okay about not cooking, but the family isn't. I try to hide from cooking by blaming my busy schedule. Sometimes I feel guilty but then realize that I am doing the family a favor by saving them from the burnt cooking. That's not being a good mom so I found a compromise...quick flavorful food in less than 30 minutes that makes me look like I did something AMAZING.

Within future blogs you'll will also learn recipes from the Master Griller my husband Latif and from our kids. As a busy mom, I'm grateful for a husband who cooks and our children who have learned to cook early on because their mom "can't cook." At our house, cooking has become the event that pulls us together.

Until the next time.......make sure to purchase a package of Udon Noodles and have them ready in your pantry. I like to buy them at Wegmans since they have a variety of ethnic ingredients available.
